School Clubs & Activities

GBE Art Club
  • Sponsor: Rosanne McCorkle
  • Purpose/mission:  To promote creativity and allow students to explore their artistic side, experience various art materials and activities & socialize with students interested in art.  There is an application process for 5th grade students.
  • Meeting Days/Times:  Meetings are held once a week - either Monday group or Friday group, before school beginning at 8am – 8:35.

GBE Chorus
  • Sponsor: Amy Toney
  • Purpose/mission:  To enrich musical learning for 4th and 5th graders through singing, movement and creative expression and to strengthen community relations by performing for our school and community
  • Meeting Days/Times: Rehearsals are held once a week from September-March.  5th grade rehearses on Tuesdays and 4th grade rehearses on Thursdays from 7:50-8:35.

GBE Safety Patrol
  • Sponsors:  Alex Heider & Becca Vaught
  • Purpose/mission:  Fifth grade students have the opportunity to serve the school by assisting students out of vehicles during car line drop off and pick up. They will be instructed in safety and assisting other students as they leave or get into cars.
  • Meeting Days/Times: Students are able to sign up for a 9 week service time at open house. They will serve both morning drop off and afternoon pick up.

RunHard (GBE Group)
  • Sponsors: Fran Marshall & Rosandra Johnson
  • Run Hard is an 8 week after school kids running program that builds confident kids by training them to finish a 5k and teaching life values. 
  • Run Hard is open to all Greenbrier Elementary students in 2nd-5th grade, however space is limited to 50 students per semester. 
  • Meeting Days/Times: Practice is held twice per week on Monday and Wednesday immediately after school until 5:00pm. Parents will pick students up from the field located across from Greenbrier Middle School. Registration for the fall season opens September 1st. Practice starts October 7th and students will compete in a 5K race on December 7th at Riverfront Amphitheater on the North Augusta Greenway. 
  • Cost is $90/per student - Scholarships and sibling discounts are available upon request.

  • Sponsor: Kristin Messer & Brandi Bodie
  • Purpose/Mission:  The purpose of the GBE Robotics and Coding Club is to engage students with robotic and coding activities that build analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Meeting Days/Times: 4th Grade Robotics and Coding Club - Wednesdays  7:40-8:25
